14 Days

I have 14 days until I get my first paycheck from my new job. I'm so happy. I have $643 left to pay on my car and I have $800 to pay on an immediate debt. Then my goal is to pay down the following debts.

$3500 from being evicted
$900 from hospital bills
$1500 old credit card debt

I think there may be another debt that is old that I have to pay on, but I'll check my credit report to see. After paying these debts, I will ATTACK my student loan which is about $55,000. I hope to get that mountain of debt off me in the next few years.

My contract is $72,000, so if I live cheaply I can have this paid in the next 2-3 years. Of course. that's if there are no surprise bills that come up. I'm trying to convince my brother to stay home that way I won't have to move. If he wants to come here in the next year or so, I will be more equipped to help him.

I also want to go back to school. I want to see if I can take a class this fall. I told my brother that I would be helping him pay for tuition also.

I pray that I can be disciplined enough to stick with my plan. So far I have not been spending too much on unnecessary stuff.

Thank God for discipline.

That's Why I Praise God

For this I give you praise:

Waking me up this morning
Health and peace of mind
Food and shelter
Clothes and shoes
Peace of mind

Salvation!!!
Your Holy Spirit!!

Keeping my mind when I was homeless
Keeping me safe when I was sleeping in my car

Keeping my mind in bad relationships
Keeping my mind and health when making bad decisions

A new job
A car to do my job
Enough money to be able to help my brother with tuition
Enough money to get out of debt

Inheritance from my grandmother

I can go on and on and on.....

God has been so GOOD to me and that's WHY I PRAISE GOD!!!

Would You Like a Blood Sample Too?

I received "the email" from HHS regarding my background check to be commissioned. OMG, this online application is crazy!! They want the last 7 years of history from my employment, residence, school, etc. They even want information about my parents and children. Oh WOW!! I don't even remember where all I've worked in the last 7 years. I've worked so many part time jobs and I have not kept a list. I literally have to go through my prior years tax returns to see where I've worked. Some of the places don't even exist anymore. Like the part time job I had a Liberty Tax. That store doesn't exist anymore. I don't even know what to put down as an address or telephone number. Then they want specific information about schools I've attended. Because I was a teacher, I had to constantly attend classes to maintain my license. Man, it's a lot of information that they want. They even want my height and weight. In the comment section, I was going to ask if they wanted a blood sample too?! LOL.

The other thins is they want my residence for the past 7 years. I have no idea what to put for the time I was homeless. They want specific addresses. Do I put the address where I parked my car most nights? They also want me to list a person who knew that I lived where I said I lived for the past 7 years. I did not tell anyone that I was living in my car. How do I tell these people that. I have a contact person who I can call when I have questions, but this is quite embarrassing. But, I'm going to have to disclose  because I can not leave out gaps in time. Even for the time when I was unemployed, I have to account for that time.

Mister suggested I do my on investigation and hire someone to do an extensive search on me for the past 7 years and send me the results. If I was loaded I probably would.

Checks in the Mail

We receive jobs and better jobs, raises and bonuses, interest and refunds, debts demolished, Checks in the mail, bills paid off, gifts and inheritances, rebates and returns, royalties received...my whole family saved and walking with God, perfect health and abundance to walk in divine favor and blessing. I am blessed going in and blessed going out in Jesus name, Amen.

This is part of a prayer that we pray at church during offering time.

And I am experiencing it...I just received my inheritance check from my grandmothers' estate and instead of getting the 20% that the lawyer wanted to give us, we got the full 100%.

THANK YOU, JESUS!!

God is amazing!!!!

So, I've got a better job, an inheritance which was my check in the mail!!

I thank God for my man and woman of God. My Apostle prayed for us that the curse of poverty be broken off our lives and because he prayed, I was blessed!!

The prayers of the righteous availeth much!!!

Apartment Shopping

I went on craiglist to look for an apartment. My co-worker said she found her house on there and she only pays $500 a month. I found a duplex apartment for $550 a month. From the pics it looks nice. It's in a nice neighborhood. I think it's $550 because the back is kind of an eyesore. The garage is right off the alley and the alley is almost undriveable, so there is no way to park in the garage. And the back yard looks like no one spends a lot of time in it. I called to ask if I could see it. I hope it looks nice on the inside because it is in a nice neighborhood.

I have been working on my budget. If I plan diligently I can save about $2000 a month to pay towards debts. Of course that's including paying rent at around $550 a month and paying Ameren. If my brother wants cable tv, he's gonna have to pay for it himself. So, I think I can live off of one paycheck and pocket the other paycheck to pay off debts. Of course that leaves me with no extra money, but that's my plan and I'm going to work hard to stick to it.

If I had a man, this would be way easier cause he could pay rent and I could pay my debts......

I know people who get married for financial reasons. Of course that is NOT my goal and will NEVER be my goal...unless the man was a millionaire and I had access to his money, but love does conquer all....

Lord, I need a husband, in Jesus name. Amen.

$625

I went apartment shopping and it has made me....I don't know that word. I mean, I've been an apartment manager for the past two years and I have not paid rent or Ameren during this time. This has been a big relief because I could not afford rent, but now that my brother wants to move in, I may have to move and I'm not sure how I will handle paying a rent and the electric bill, especially a bill as high as $625.

That was the rent for the place that I like. It's a really really nice apartment building. Yeah, the carpet needs to be replaced, but the apartment is really really nice. The living room is HUGE. The bedrooms aren't that large, but there is also a dish washer. The only draw back is there is no central air conditioning and there is no way to put an air conditioner in the windows because there are sliding window.

Boy, it would be nice to move. I just don't know if I could wing $625 month, plus another $100 a month for utilities and phone and internet.

I'm gonna have to do some major major thinking and praying.

I wish I could stay here for another two years. I NEED to get out of debt and I believe I can do it over the next two years.

Lord, help me, Please!!

Oh, The Thorns

Have you ever been pricked by a thorn?

My grandmother had a rose bush and as beautiful as the roses were, the thorns were hideous. I was pricked a few times....and it is HORRIBLE. Almost as bad as a paper cut.

The Bible talks about Paul and his thorn in the flesh. OMG, thorns HURT, so how did he have this constant pain nagging and nagging at him? How do you live like that. I've never had just chronic ongoing pain, but I've heard of people living with dull pain or pain from arthritis, but pain from a thorn....Oh God!!!!

I've had my personal "thorn in the flesh" and I will say that it's not nice. I HATE it. It's like I can't get rid of it, no matter what.

Paul said he prayed and prayed that God take it away....but He didn't. I've prayed and prayed because I don't want this thorn to kill me. Can a person die of chronic pain?  I don't know, but I don't want this "thorn" to kill me.

The problem is that I've had it since I was little. It's actually sort of become a part of me. I don't think about it much, but only when it's a problem for me spiritually. Otherwise, I just live with it, but it's horrible because it does affect me spiritually. And that's the reason why I want to get rid of it.....

I NEED it to leave me be, so that I can be in peace and live a holy, Godly lifestyle....

Oh, the thorns....

How Does That Affect Your Values?

I met this guy..... Oh boy..... We shall call him Dell. Dell and I met online on FB dating about a week before Christmas. During that time ...
